We are at a critical point in the software development process. While some members of the TCNJ group believe they have a clear vision of the path ahead, many of us are not getting the full picture from the Wiki.  In particular Ursula Wolz unintentionally took two weeks away from regular Wiki visits and corroborates concerns from Tom Way that a lot of information that would help the Villanova team contribute to the overall effort seems difficult to identify (or missing?) from the Wiki. Consequently the agenda for the TCNJ Feb. 24 class is as follows based on the "preparation homework" defined below.

12:00 - 12:30  Check in, deliverables sheet sign in.

12:30 - 3:00  Wiki as specifications workshop.

1) The Wiki needs a major reorganization so that an "informed" reader can get necessary information from it. This requires

(a) A better overall structure

(b) A clearly defined status report page for each of the projects (3 games, 1 engine) using an agreed upon standard format.

(c) Clear identification  on each page of its purpose, the last edit date and who is maintaining it.

(d) A better way to support code development and maintenance. This requires a commenting protocol, with clear identification on any code fragment of how it refers back to the larger whole.

2) The "Domain of Objects" exercise needs to be completed.  The page is unreadable and incomplete. Tasks "a - d" should be completed before class. A synthesis of object types must happen by 3:00 PM to hand over the database design task to Villanova. (see the next item)

3) At 3:00 PM we will video-chat with the Villanova class. We need to be prepared to recommend specific tasks in which they can engage.  We will need:

(a) A page, clearly linked from the front that specifies the task in sufficient detail for them to move forward independently. Questions that can guide this process are posted on the Villanova Development Questions 02_23_09 page.

(b) Two identified liaisons at TCNJ who will work with two identified liaisons at Villanova to establish, by the end of the Thursday Villanova session, what needs to be done, who is responsible for it, what open questions remain, and what the timeline for completion is.  The liaisons are responsible for recording on the Wiki the status of the collaboration by Saturday noon, Feb. 28th.  (Every effort needs to be made to connect, excuses will not be accepted!)

3:00 - 3:30 Video and chat between Villanova and TCNJ.  This may break off into small-group or two-by-two "chats".

3:30 - 4:00 Deliverables sheet sign out.
